WHAT MAKES THIS TOWN DIFFERENT?

Installed in vacant shop units in Colchester town centre.

Colchester residents were asked to consider the issues that they find most significant in the town today and to share them the form of a question. These issues could be personal, local or international but all reflected aspects of life in the town.

The questions formed the basis of the new artworks, offering an insight into the wide range of concerns and aspirations of the diverse people of the town. In presenting these concerns as questions viewers are encouraged to identify specific issues and to think collectively of solutions.
